Simply Enough

A Psalm for the most important relationship in my life, the one I have with my Savior Jesus Christ:

Many times the pain of my life runs deep and I can feel it like a suffocating fire. I hurt and I feel alone. But then, a whisper from my Savior says, “You are never alone. I am with you in your darkest hour and even in this pain you are loved. YOU are the apple of MY eye. YOU find your confidence in ME alone. YOU are righteous by MY blood. YOU are forgiven.” The pain is still there, but there is joy because Jesus’ grace is embracing my suffering. My suffering is bearable because I am reminded that Jesus paid the price. I am forgiven. I am loved. I am the daughter of the Messiah, the Prince of Peace.  His ways are better than mine. His love will fill my soul. His mercy will be new everyday. His grace is enough. He loves me. I am loved. Jesus loves me and that is simply enough.

It is because of this relationship, the one that sustains me, that I will not be afraid. I will not be distracted by fear. I will overcome because Christ lives in me. I rebuke fear and embrace bravery and strength from my Heavenly Father. He is my strength. He is my answer.

I am loved and I am no longer suffocating because when I think I can’t take another breath Jesus breathes for me. He is my everything, and I adore him. I stand in awe of him. He amazes me. Abba Father, Prince of Peace, you are an awesome God. I worship you Lord. I thank you Lord for your grace, love, mercy, and strength. You breathe life, compassion, and forgiveness. Lead me on your path oh my Lord. I am yours.
