Recently the snooze button on the alarm was far too easily hit. As I went to hit it one more time I realized just how many times I had hit the word “Snooze”. It’s always amazing to me just how good the sleep is right about time the alarm goes off.
Oh beloved, there are times when you and I would like a snooze button for life. The only problem with trying to snooze through life is that it keeps going. Alarms are for our good. Without them we’d sleep right through till who knows when. We definitely would miss something, even though we would be trying to avoid waking up.
God wants you to know this morning that His Holy Spirit will sound alarms for you. Sometimes the alarm will sound to bless you. Wake up! Receive the blessing! Other times the alarm sounds and Holy Spirit is inspiring you to avoid a situation that is looming before you. Either way, the sound of the alarm is a wake up call to receive from the Lord. God understand that you just want to go through life without alarms, but He knows best for you. Discernment is an exceptional gift from Him and you need it more now than ever. Judgment leads to a decision you make based on God’s rulings. The world has no desire for a snooze button or an alarm. The system of today’s thinking is that alarms hinder and block the rights. But the truth is alarms give you great freedom! And you beloved, are called to freedom! You are called to be a watchman and to walk in the Precepts of the Lord!
God loves you and He’s for you. That’s enough to keep you willing to wake up and take up your position in Christ. Regardless what others are saying, you have the Word to speak for you and to keep your feet aligned with the King. And you have no other person to please but Him. Run to Him this morning and ask for fresh discernment and discretion. And live, precious believer, in the Light of His watchful, wakeful care!
Philippians 1: 9-10 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ
Hebrews 5: 14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.
Romans 12: 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
