When I was a child if my parents said “we’ll see” then it usually actually meant probably not. It was a polite phrase for no. LOL But yesterday evening I heard the phrase “Sure Enough”. And then I remembered I saw our jonquils budding out in the flower bed. I knew that while we had that heavy snow it wouldn’t last forever and the jonquils would bloom right away. “Sure enough” they are blooming!
Oh beloved, God speaks to our hearts. Sure enough the jonquils ARE blooming. The snow didn’t stop them and neither did the cancellation of jonquil and daffodil festivals. Those pretty blooms come right on schedule. They aren’t refusing to bloom because the weather treated them bad. And they aren’t blooming because they know they are the stars of the show of some festival.
You and I are like those jonquils. We are here to bloom where we’re planted. We can live a “we’ll see” life of waiting for better conditions and more comfortable times. But we’re meant to live a “sure enough” life. Sure enough we will keep living for Jesus no matter what happens. Sure enough when the chill of troubles come and we feel the heavy blanket of sorrow, we don’t quit being who we are in Christ. Sure enough, when we have the opportunity to quit, walk away, lose our faith – we just keep blooming. Even if we’re uprooted from the well known into the unknown – we are going to bloom again.
And sure enough, even more sure than our life, God is with us. Sure enough, He will com through with His plan. Sure enough He isn’t stopped by the enemy’s plans. Sure enough, He keeps calling, speaking, urging. Sure enough He speaks to hearts of the lost, compelling them to come to Jesus. Sure enough, He hears your prayers. Sure enough He walks with you through the valley of the shadow of death. Sure enough, what His Word says He will perform. And sure enough, your trust in Him is never wasted.
God loves you and He’s for you. Be so sure that God will be with you that you never feel like saying “We’ll see”. Let your heart have hope in God because you need that faith to bloom well. And live in the Light of His wonderful true blessings and care!
Matthew 6:28-29 And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all His glory was adorned like one of these.
Hebrews 6:18 Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged
2 Samuel 22:31 God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
Romans 4:3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
