  While living as an evacuee in a rehabilitation center after suffering three sieges of pneumonia, I was almost helpless: even must wear diapers, wear a container of oxygen, and endure physical therapy. My tires were aired, my chain was lubed and the panniers were bulging. Packing was definitely the biggest challenge. Four women preparing for a five day, two hundred fifty-seven mile bicycle ride across the state of Missouri were limited to mascara, toothbrush, T-shirt dress and Chacos.     There is a significant difference between living my life on purpose and aimlessly moving through life without direction. I chose to embrace living my life with purpose.
