What is your Agenda? Choosing who to serve

WE MAKE OUR PLANS, BUT THE LORD DETERMINES OUR STEPS” Proverbs 16:9 When we were in Kenya last July the community pastors in the village of Karagoto took us on a hike. I struggled with doing many of the “touristy” things. We were in a beautiful, foreign land, and I was not there to sight see…I had an agenda. I begged God to call someone else. Then, I surrendered with excitement and joy. In 2015, we launched Renew Church. It is wonderful. It is a gift. It is refreshing and reviving and …

Beautifully Broken: Learning to Live

“Beautifully Broken” was written by Katie Clifton in the April 2013 issue of My Journey of Faith Magazine. It was so touching to read the stories of these precious African Orphans from the perspective of someone sitting with them before the Easter Holiday. I had to re-share this story with our readers in case they missed it. Thank you for bringing the love of Jesus alive Katie! – Carissa Hardage, Editor As I write this article I am sitting on a roof top patio in Nairobi, Kenya at the home of our missionary …
