Life Through the Spirit

Romans 8:1-2  “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” It was impossible to keep all the Jewish laws; and it especially was difficult for women who were not considered significant to society. It’s amazing Jesus raised status of women. And no matter how sinful. He forgave sins and instead of condemning a woman told her to go and not continue living sinful lives. “The teachers of the law …

Called to Love

We are called to love another not just with words but with our actions. 1 John 3:18 says “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” Don’t just tell His children that you love them we have to show them by our actions. Call and check on your family, friends coworkers, and whoever the Lord puts in your path. Though sin did not destroy that desire, it created a barrier between God and man, and it took the sacrifice of His Son Jesus to remedy that barrier. While Jesus hung on the …

Pursuit

I grew up in a home where the world stopped for sports. It was tedious living during football especially. Men ate Thanksgiving dinner in front of that televised game. They pursued their teams with their whole hearts. It was all or nothing. God reminds me this morning that there are many pursuits that put joy in the hearts of people. None so much as pursuit of Him. Oh beloved, your Champion wants you to know this morning that He takes delight in having you on His team. He knows all the pursuits that call your name. He says there is …
