John the Baptist had said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”   It had been God’s divine plan from before the creation of the heavens and the earth for Jesus to become the sacrificial lamb for the sins of man. And now the Lamb of God was dead.  He had been sacrificed on the cross.
