Life’s Storms
The I 30 corridor…not a pleasant phrase when the storms are kicking through in East Texas. I watched them all day yesterday, first one tornado warning and then another. It was the positioning of the storms that gave me pause. So often in the past those East Texas storms would fly up the interstate and cause us problems in Arkansas. At one point I got a text from a precious cousin, whose daughter and husband were on their way to a storm shelter near Texarkana. We prayed together via text and asked God to watch over them. Just before we went to bed last night, it sounded like someone had jumped heavily on our deck or slammed our car door. We all went to see what the noise was. In about 5 minutes there was another loud boom. Both sounds shook our house. It was talked about on social media and our oldest daughter began texting that they too had heard and felt it. Prized Possession We went to Danny’s first outpatient rehab after we got home. They had many questions for him. We had questions for them too. After all Danny is a prized treasure to me. I have only his best interests in mind. Peace love and quiet are what he needs now. Along with rehab therapists who care about the patient and will take an active interest in their recovery.
