Praising God as Creator

Psalm 104:24 ” How countless are your works, Lord! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.” (CSB) Compare the black and white view from the photographer’s camera with the artist’s painting of the same Colorado mountain stream. What a difference! Beautiful!  But neither compares to the work of the Master Artist – God, the Creator.     What a difference! Beautiful!  But neither compares to the work of the Master Artist – God, the Creator. Through the experiences of a shepherd boy and gifted psalmist, we praise the Creator for His workmanship.  How …

The Creation Prompts Praise To The Creator

“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” Psalm 8:1 The life of a shepherd was a lonely one. David, the author of Psalm 8, spent a good portion of his younger years in nature and isolation. No street lights, no cities or buildings, and no human beings also meant no distractions … plenty of time to think and ponder. As David looked to the heavens and beheld creation, he was prompted to worship the Creator. The vastness and beauty of God’s creation led to astonishment that the Creator both thought about David and …

From the Universe to My Heart

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”  Psalm 19:1 The Psalmist takes us on a journey in Psalm 19 – beginning by drawing our gaze to the heavens. All of creation cries out wordlessly, unceasingly, and universally: There is a God! Look at what He has done! While creation makes a strong case for God’s existence, we need more. We see His divine glory in the universe, but we long to know His divine plan. His divine WORD provides the answers. David uses powerful words to describe the WORD in Psalm 19, verses 7-9: Perfect Trustworthy …

Recognizing His Work

Are you recognizing His work in your life? Have you thanked Him for what He has done? Thank Him and praise Him for what he is doing in your midst. Live in a way that is pleasing to Christ. Don’t stand down but stand out and get excited to share His word today and every day that He wakes you up. He died on the cross so you can have an intimate relationship with Him so you can share His goodness to others so none of His children perish. Live for Him and rid yourselves of anything that …

Worship in the Wilderness

Reading: Acts 16: 25-32 Acts 16: 25-26  “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were unfastened.”   This time that we are all experiencing together as a world is filled with so many emotions such as fear, anxiety, uncertainty, loneliness, depression and worry. It can be mind-consuming and heavy and with the weight of our circumstances pulling us down like a gravitational …

Quality Time

Quality Time     Encourage one another daily. Danny and I are very busy these days encouraging one another. I encourage him as he tries new steps and gets more freedom. He encourages me not to hover. Lol What I’ve noticed is that things we were too busy for now are the sweetest. Simple things like holding hands and sitting together have become so very much more precious. Watching a movie. Laughing. Praying. Blessing meals even. Hearing his voice as he thanks the Lord for the meal is so beautiful. It’s like falling in love all over again. …
