For the Road Ahead

For the Road Ahead

Although we’ve taken a few trips, there are special trips we’ve planned for many years. One of these days we’re going to know it’s time and head out. Planning is essential. When you’re on a trip you’ve got to know where you’re going and how you’re going to get there. You also need to know what sights you want to see along the way. Without planning it is easy to get mixed up and focus on the things you really didn’t intend to do. Many sights along the way easily become distractions. Distractions steal time, money, focus and joy. We …

Psalm 119: 71 It was good for …

Need

Need

I’m in shock. This Word NEED. I’ve been reading another online faith friend’s battle with her husband’s illness. He’s been stricken with a viral infection attacking his nervous system. This morning as I read I prayed even more. And she was specific with their needs. Financial, healing, pain relief, etc. Specific. I have needs! My husband has needs! We’ve been through this season of sickness that we’ve never had before. Not in 44 years of marriage have either of us ever been very sick. Danny has not been in the hospital since he was 9 years old! You too …

When Do You Quit Praying?

When Do You Quit Praying?

Traveling back and forth to Hot Springs, we’ve been watching the progress of the widening of the highway along the way. It’s been a mess. I’ve yet to see anything completed. But because they are still working, there is obviously some progress being made. One day the project will be complete and everyone will see the outcome. Those construction workers are not quitting simply because it’s taking so long. And they are not quitting because it’s a bigger mess than before they started. When it comes to prayer we love the outcome – we are so enthralled with what …
