God Provides

And Abraham said, “God will provide for Himself the Lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” So the two of them walked on together. Genesis 22: 8 This may be one of the best lessons to us personally and to the Body of Christ. Such a simple way of learning God. See how Abraham just acknowledges God’s provision even though he hasn’t seen it yet. If we are going to be in harder situations in the future we must say “God will provide.” Did you see the next line? “So the two of them walked on together.” Abraham …

Roman Road

The Roman Road is a series of scriptures from the Bible that explains what’s necessary to obtain salvation. If we asked someone the question: “What are you being saved from?”, we may hear they’re being saved from an eternity in Hell. That’s true; however, we can take the definition of salvation a step further. Romans 3:23 is the first verse in the Roman Road. Sin is the act of doing something wrong in the sight of God – or a lack of doing something God commands us to do. Sin is immoral. This scripture tells us that everyone has sinned …

The Lamb of God

John 1:29 “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” Genesis through Malachi speaks of God’s plan of salvation fulfilled in the New Testament with the birth of Jesus Christ the Messiah.  In the Old Testament, God has woven a scarlet thread throughout the pages of His Book to prepare the way for His coming. The true scarlet thread throughout the Bible is the blood of Jesus as a sacrifice for the atonement of sin. God provided a preview in the Old …

The Prophets

Luke 24:25-27 “Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” 27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.” Many prophets foretold the coming of the Messiah.  Included in this number are Samuel, Daniel, Ezekiel, Haggai, Hosea, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Micah, and Zechariah.  Each one accurately predicted His coming and described His life on earth as well …

The Psalms

Luke 24:44-45 “Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”  And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.” God’s complete plan for the salvation of man through the blood of Jesus Christ is written down and given to us piece by piece throughout Scripture until it was revealed in the New Testament through the birth of Jesus the Messiah. Psalms speaks …

Shed Blood

Hebrews 9:26-29  “…He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.” God had created man in His image.  His very presence was shared with His creation as He communed with Adam and Eve in the beautiful Garden of Eden. But when Adam and Eve made the choice to disobey …

Forgiven Much

In Luke chapter seven we can read about a woman with an alabaster jar filled with expensive fragrant oil. When she learns that the Messiah is nearby, she rushes to the scene. In an act of absolute worship, she wipes his feet with her hair and anoints his feet with the oil. Such a pricey sacrifice was immediately noticed by the Pharisee. The observation and criticism of her actions leads the Messiah to offer a powerful teaching on forgiveness. Luke 7:47, reads: “Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven–as her great love has shown. But whoever has …
