When There Are No Words

There was a time in my life when I was facing something that I couldn’t even pray, they were just no words. Here I was a pastor’s wife, a pastor’s daughter, and a mother and I could not even pray for my family. I was in one of the deepest darkest trenches of my life. I will never forget the feeling of being utterly alone facing the situation and having no clue of how to deal with it. I was up for hours during the night just reading aloud the word of God. Job’s Silence

Job’s Silence     We’re going to briefly peak at Job’s situation, and his times of silence, which were many.  You all know the story-how in one day, he lost his children, possessions, houses, and servants, except one.  No wonder his wife advised him to “curse God and die!” Job 2: 9 (NIV) His description of silence is intriguing. Silence Before the Storm

Silence Before the Storm   There is often an eerie silence before a major weather event- an earthquake, hurricane, etc.  But, there is a silence which hasn’t occurred yet, only prophesied. This is the period of a half an hour before all hell will literally break loose, when God will unleash His bowls, trumpets, and angels in Revelation. Come to think of it, wasn’t there a period of silence just before Jesus died on the cross, followed by the earthquake, and ripping of the Temple veil? Didn’t David and Aseph cry out to God time after time …
