Meet “Taryn O’Brien-Ogg”
My name is Taryn and I am a mother and stepmother to four teen boys. I have also been a primary teacher for 22 years . But most importantly, I am a devoted Christian. I was born in Colorado, raised in Florida, and currently reside in Kansas. I have been through quite a few traumatic experiences. I lost my first two pregnancies- one at 9 weeks and one at 23 weeks. I am a two time breast cancer survivor at the age of 45. I’ve been divorced from a 20 year marriage and have remarried and created a blended family. Although these were the hardest moments of my life, these are the moments I came face to face with God. He has shown me his true love and salvation. I can honestly say I am thankful for the hardships. He has given me many testimonies over the years that have grown my deep faith in Jesus and has proven his promises are true. I am healed. And now, I share my testimony with others so that they all know that what he has done for me, he will do for others.

Taryn’s Faith Story
I was raised Catholic, which provided me with a constant knowledge of Jesus from as far back as I can remember. However, creating a real personal relationship with Jesus came later in my life as I matured and faced the problems that come from a broken world. During my late teen years, I didn’t have a personal relationship with Christ. I believed in God, but didn’t understand him as a loving God, but more of a judgmental God that only cared about right and wrong. I didn’t understand faith in God at all.
At some point, my irresponsible choices led to potentially lifelong consequences I wasn’t prepared for. This is the moment in my life when I truly prayed with all my heart. I was never exposed to the Salvation prayer as such, but I recognized my need for forgiveness and salvation. In my heart, I accepted who Christ truly is and the meaning of all he has done.
Everything that was merely knowledge of God suddenly became real truth in my heart. I needed a miracle and he provided it. He showed me his love time and time again throughout my life. As I matured, I relied on him more and more. I built my faith through the hard times and praised him during the good times. Now, I praise him in all times.
