Early this week there was a huge spot on the floor in the office kitchen. We weren’t sure where it came from but I had an idea that something must have spilled in the cabinet below the sink. So we looked and sure enough a can of furniture polish had emptied its contents out on the floor because the sprayer was pushed as I closed the cabinet door the day before. Talk about a mess. We cleaned it up and now you can’t see there ever was a mess.
Oh beloved, when God sees your mess He’s not horrified, He’s prepared. He sent His only Son, Jesus, to redeem you from the messy life. Even if you did the mess to yourself, He’s prepared to clean up and remove all traces of that mess. He doesn’t ask you to clean it up first. He doesn’t give you a book to study about His clean ups, and He doesn’t remain aloof from the pain of your mess.
He loves you. In His eyes all messes are the same. All lives are important. He sent His Son for all of us. The good, the bad, the indifferent. You are special in His sight and He redeemed you because His love propelled Him to make a way for you to have a right relationship with Him. What was stolen in the garden mess way back has now been made right. Perfect blood was sacrificed for imperfect people like you and me. None are right with God on our own, not one of us. But beloved, because God loves you He sent perfect Love to make a way for you to return to your rightful place as an heir of the promise!
God loves you and He’s for you – proven at the cross, proven daily and proven this morning. As you wake up alive and having breath in your lungs, God has overlooked what you keep focusing on. It’s time to come to Him with open arms and allow Him to release you from the enemy’s grip once and for all. Your life is beautiful, equipped, you are reconciled and restored. Now snuggle up to your Daddy God for a few moments and ask Him to make it all clear to you. And live in the Light of His heart of love for you always, no matter what.
Titus 3: 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit
Colossians 2: 13-14 When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our trespasses, having canceled the debt ascribed to us in the decrees that stood against us. He took it away, nailing it to the cross!
1 Peter 2: 24 He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. “By His stripes you are healed.”
I John 4: 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
