The View From God’s Perspective

Kids understand things often much better than we grown-ups do. Caleb handed me a pair of glasses and told me to look at the Christmas tree. I put them on and everything changed. The view showed prisms of Christmas snowflakes everywhere there was a light. How awesome! There was a pair of these lovely little view changers for his brother and sister too.

We’ve had a year. If I just looked at things the way they are I’d be in a hard place. It is what it is sure fits. I could name everything “bad” that happened this year. But as I let my life be viewed through the Word of God I see an entirely different observation. In the natural it’s been a very hard year, but in the Spirit, much has been gained in the meantime. Although the winds were harsh and often violent, God’s peace and calm have been there all the way for us.

Oh beloved. There is the Word of God for each of you as well. Along with His character and His nature you are secure. Your view changes when you look through the love and mercy and grace of God for your circumstances. The enemy wants to focus you on what has happened and how bad it’s been. But if you are reading this, then your life has yet to be fulfilled. There is God’s goodness and mercy following you all the days of your life! God says in His magnificent Word that even when satan meant things for evil God will turn it into good. Nowhere else can you see this than through the Word. Pray that Word over your life. Pray it over the lives of any prodigals you have. This is faith – to pick up the Word and put it on like glasses and see the view change miraculously. That’s faith – to believe God when everywhere you look is nothing good.

God wants you to know that He hasn’t forgotten your prayers, nor your hopes and dreams. He hasn’t forgotten your works of righteousness. But it’s His mercy that gets you through. It’s His grace that gives you new sight. He says keep praying, believing and showing up for what you cannot see in the natural yet. Whatever you have lost, whether it’s the wonder of Christmas or the wonder of His Word, keep looking and you will see Him in His holiness and His comfort. You can’t change the view on your own, but through God you can look beyond the mess into the reality of His answers.

God loves you and He’s for you. That’s enough, but there’s more. He is on your side, He sent His son to the Manger of Love, to go through the Cross of Love, be placed in the Tomb of Love and finally to experience the Resurrection of Love! The Word of love is now your only view for you are destined to live, move and have your being in the cradle of God’s wondrous ways!
