The Word is – Anniversary

Well, anniversary.  What can I say?  We have a lovely 45th one coming up in November.  But our big anniversary was that just 12 months ago we were out of the hospital and ready to embark on recovery.  We hoped and we planned, but God took us through it and at the end of 2017, November, we celebrated by driving to the Gulf and having a beautiful anniversary – simply because we were ALIVE and TOGETHER!

So what do I want to tell younger wives? Don’t sweat the little stuff. And it’s all little stuff.  If you want to make memories instead of living with regrets you will just forget the irritations and distractions.  You will celebrate!  And I mean every milestone, every anniversary, every moment with that man of yours.

Today as we look forward to November and I give thanks for the opportunity to celebrate another November 24th with my man, I pray that out of His abundance, Christ would bless you with a grateful heart, a sense of wonder at married life, a remembrance that you and your spouse came into this together and you will be back just the two of you one of these days.

God loves you and He’s for you. Anniversaries are worth celebrating and so is every single day of your life!

Philippians 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

I Timothy 6: 17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy!

Ecclesiastes 9: 9 Enjoy life with your beloved wife (or husband) all the days of the fleeting life which has been given to you under the sun–all your fleeting days. For this is your portion in life and in your labor under the sun.
