Phillipians 4: 8-9 “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you”
Paul ended this admonishment by saying if anything worthy of praise, to think about these things. Many believers are prone to look for weaknesses and sins of their sisters and brothers and dwell on them. Have you ever seen any person about whom it was possible to say something positive? Perhaps that is because we like to nit pick and look for the negative rather than positive characteristics in others, or while in the midst of adversities fail to find something about which to praise God?
I remember while enduring illnesses, living in a rehabilitation center, and then while restricted to an upstairs apartment, God continues to shower me with His unlimited blessings. I have been truly blessed the past few months. Since I was in the hospital on my June nineteen birthday, on August nineteen, my church hosted a one hundred birthday celebration for me. It was a wonderful occasion and I am thankful for all the preparation and those who came by to celebrate with me.
Currently I am blessed with better health, able to continue my writing, have written more books, made a trip to Dallas to visit my other son and wife, and am to spend Christmas there. Also I am blessed with some faithful friends.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, though one of the least of Your children, and one of your oldest ones perhaps currently residing on earth. I praise and thank You in Jesus’ name for my many privileges and blessings. Amen.
