Truth Or Dare

Truth or dare we used to play a lot when we were kids. We’d have to make a choice whether to tell the truth about something or be dared to do something dangerous or crazy. I always chose to tell the truth but I have friends who might remember they chose climbing the roof at 10 pm instead of telling.  It was all in good fun and back then we didn’t have many deep dark secrets to reveal anyway.

The devil will dare you to believe his wild tales. He will try to convince you to confess you don’t believe God. He will make the circumstances appear hopeless, useless, empty so that you will declare your own hopelessness and more. He is a lying liar. God on the other hand never challenges you to do anything but believe Him. And His challenge comes with love. “Try Me and see…” He proves His own Truth and then gives it to you as a gift. You don’t have to leap tall buildings or climb to the roof in the middle of the night to prove Him. You just have to walk in His Truth.

Oh beloved, you need to know some wonderful truths about your life in Christ today. Just these three simple truths will guard your heart, clear your mind and give you the impetus to move on in your walk with God.

Truth 1. Your faith is big! That’s right. Your faith, which is based on Christ in you, is big as a grain of mustard seed – looks tiny but God says it’s more than enough to move mountains!  You don’t have to wish for more faith, you just have to implement the gift of faith God has given you.

Truth 2. Your prayers are effective! You may see nothing, you may not know the answer is right outside the door, but your prayers are moving heaven and earth. If you could see in the heavenly realm you just cannot imagine what war in the heavenlies looks like as your prayers are sent forward to God.

Truth 3. Your life has meaning.  You may see pain, sickness, rejection, weakness, failure, and more. But God sees you as a Joseph in the well, a Gideon in the wine press, a Hannah in the chapel and a Abraham going up the mountain. God has given you meaning and purpose and plans that are beyond the fleshly scene of everyday life. He is taking you from ordinary to extraordinary because you are applying God’s Word to your life and walking in faith and praying effectually!

God loves you and He’s for you! He’s gifted you with a full measure of faith, effectual fervent prayers that avail much and meaning for your life to live beyond the natural and into the supernatural! Rejoice in the truth, shut the enemy’s mouth – no more dares to prove your worth, for you are worthy by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony!  Run to the Lord this morning and thank Him for His outlandish gifts and then run into the world and pray, walk in faith and enjoy your meaningful life as you life in the Light of God’s glory and grace!

Romans 12: 3 … as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.

Hebrews 11: 1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

James 5: 16 … The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. KJV

Colossians 4: 2 Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;

John 8: 12 Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not be walking in the dark, but will have the Light which is Life. AMP

2 Timothy 1: 9 For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was His plan from before the beginning of time–to show us His grace through Christ Jesus.

I Peter 2: 9 But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light
