You Are Not Their Opinion
Opening Word:
You were not created to live under the weight of someone else’s misunderstanding, nor were you designed to shrink simply because others cannot handle the light within you. You were never meant to exist for approval or to mold yourself into the shape that makes others comfortable. You exist because God chose you, anointed you, and called you into a purpose that does not change based on who accepts or rejects you. Their opinions do not determine your destiny, and their approval does not validate your identity. You carry a calling that was written in Heaven, and you have nothing to prove and nothing to earn, because God already decided your worth long before anyone had a chance to judge it.
Scripture:
Galatians 1:10
“Am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.”
Break the Lie:
The lie says that if others reject you, something must be wrong with you. The truth reveals that rejection often appears when God is leading you away from voices that were never meant to shape you in the first place. When you walk with God, His direction, His approval, and His voice carry far more authority than any opinion people may have.
Journal Reflection:
Whose voice has been louder in your life than God’s?
What would it look like to silence those voices and trust only His?
Declaration:
I will not chase the approval of others. I will not shrink to make anyone more comfortable. I will walk boldly and confidently in the identity and calling that God has spoken over my life.
