I remember my uncle working in his garden. He took very good care of all the vegetables contained there. I know that they canned, froze and dried everything. I also know that my aunt had no flowers whatsoever. The reason being “you can’t eat flowers”, my uncle would say.
This morning I hear the Lord speaking and He says it’s okay to have some flowers in your garden. They may take up space but beauty in amongst the work is always allowed.
Oh beloved, you are one blessed woman. As you tend the garden of your life, you don’t have to worry that you might lose a thing or that you won’t work hard enough. You planted what you desired, you’ve watered it and tended it well – but it’s God who gives the bounty. And even if you have neglected areas, God says today is your day to let Him sweep through and give you a fresh start.
The rising waters of this season will ruin every garden that is underneath it’s flow. But you beloved, when you are in the flow of God His river of delight will calm your soul, rest your weary body and feed your spirit. God wants you to begin to step over your insecurities and dive into the deep with Him. The unknowns of life will cause you to quit planting seeds of faith. Even so, you walk in faith and you don’t wait until you can see it to believe it. Just beyond your self-doubt is God-fidence. Just beyond your fearfulness is God’s security. Plant in a view to the harvest you desire and watch what God does before you in the supernatural. You aren’t the sum of your lack, because of the Giver of Every Good and Perfect Gift is with you wherever you go and whatever you encounter.
God loves you and He’s for you. Run to Him this morning and ask Him to help you dig up your fallow ground. Seek His face for all your needs. And live, precious believer, in the Light of His bountiful love and care!
Hosea 10: 12 Sow with a view to righteousness, reap in accordance with kindness; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD Until He comes to rain righteousness on you.
2 Corinthians 9: 10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your store of seed and will increase the harvest of your righteousness.
Galatians 3: 5 Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you practice the Law, or because you hear and believe?
Hosea 6: 3 So let us know–let us press on to know the LORD. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the earth.
Psalm 29: 2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in holy array.
