I recently had a dream that my Daddy was still alive but stillĀ had dementia. In this dream there was a man and other people desperately trying to get my Daddy into a particular sinful situation. In my dream I was fighting as hard and as much as I could possibly fight to stop them from their evil influence. And immediately before I woke up I thought about my sons.
Once I woke up I felt the Lord say to me, as long and hard as you were fighting in your dream for your Daddy, you must continue to fight for your sons!!
There is so much stuff that bombards our loved ones and kids (even grown ones), that as their Mama my responsibility is to fight the influence of evil with prayer and the Armor of God. Sometimes we get so bone weary of fighting that we relinquish our fight. Especially if we are not daily filling ourselves up with the Word of God and His Promises.Ā When we donāt feel we can pray we can read His Word and say it out loud. We must not give up ground to our adversary! Jesus has already won the battle, we just have to stand firm and keep praying persistently for that pleases God.
Luke 18:1-8 “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2Ā He said: āIn a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3Ā And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, āGrant me justice against my adversary.ā 4Ā āFor some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, āEven though I donāt fear God or care what people think, 5Ā yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she wonāt eventually come and attack me!āā 6Ā And the Lord said, āListen to what the unjust judge says. 7Ā And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8Ā I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?ā
