Discovering Our Purpose

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28

When I was younger, I used to think that I would become a vet, or a teacher, at one point I even wanted to be a music producer. As children, we all have dreams of what we may be when we grow up. Some of us may achieve those dreams, while others may go down a different path. It took me some time to really understand what it meant to live and fulfill God’s purpose for my life.

We all have a purpose, something that God wants for us to achieve during our time here on Earth. Some of us will discover what that purpose is, and others may not. If you are currently trying to discover what your purpose is, talk to God and ask him what he wants for you to do. Listen for him to speak to you. God has many different ways in which he answers our prayers, it is up to us to look for them. As you pray, ask God to give you guidance and trust that he will lead you to where you need to be.

Lord, show us our purpose. Let us know what you would like for us to accomplish while we are here. How do you want to use us for your glory? We ask, in your name Lord, for guidance in showing us what you want for us to do. Amen.
