Reflections from Corinne’s Garden God’s Designed Pathway to the Sacrifice of Praise
“And He said to them why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?” Luke 24:38
We come now to what Jesus has for us today . I was sitting under a canopy of trees in Corinne’s Garden and looking up, the thought came to me of something I had read that Charles Spurgeon wrote… “I will sit under His shadow with great delight”. My thoughts returned to one specific day when I felt that Satan was launching fiery darts with my name stamped on their points. I sat with my head down fighting to lift my voice to Jesus. Without a doubt I had moved away from “His Shadow of Great Delight”.
Dear friend when you move from His shadow, clutching that bundle of doubts, let God’s Designed Pathway lead you to scriptures such as Luke 24:38 where the Lord is asking the disciples why they are troubled and having distressed thoughts; they were questioning if He was really Jesus. Later on in that chapter He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures … He sent them to the Word.
We too experience upsetting thoughts that pierce our mind. As we commune with Jesus let’s lift our emotions as a Sacrifice of Praise to Him as He reminds us that all our doubts are acknowledged through Him and His Word. Scripture says, “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” (I Corinthians 14:33 ESV)
Thoughtful Reflection
Next time you are angry, hurt, afraid etc., go to God’s Word first for wisdom rather than rushing from friend to
friend; I guarantee you will sense the peace that passes all understanding.
