Yesterday two things happened to acquaintances that just floored me. One received a text meant for another person. It was rude and maligning about the person who received the text. Oh my. The other person was supposed to be on hold but it didn’t work, so they heard the diatribe about themselves over the phone line.
Oh beloved, you are so special to the Lord. It might be that you’ve been through this type of situation. It could have been recently or on the playground or the party line many years ago. It still hurts. You may not have ever felt like you truly fit in. But God wants you to know this day that the hurt and pain will stop here. You are not the sum of accusations, gossip, or rejection. God is your source of all that is good. And you can keep following Him and living for Him even when you feel uninvited, unfriended, discouraged or left out. The enemy wants you to hone in on your feelings so that you stay hidden away in your anxiety. But as you recite the Word over yourself, pray for your “enemies” and give no place to the devil he will move on. You are not a victim of any situation, you are always victorious. Not on your own and neither am I. But with the Lord as our focus, none of us has to live with shame, fear, or worry about fitting in. You, beloved, were called to stand out! And as you walk with the Father, He will give you beauty for the ashes of wrong motives, strength for fear of feeling less than, and joy to carry you through life no matter what goes on around you.
God loves you and He’s for you. Aren’t we blessed? His love is greater than anything. His love is a suit of armor against the enemy’s tactics. His love allows us to move on without pain so that we can share His love with others. Run to Him this morning and thank Him for His feelings towards you and live in the Light of His thoughts towards you.
