New View, New You

One of our daughters got a new camera setup for Christmas. It’s got all the bells and whistles. She is sure enjoying photography like never before. They went out to the lake one afternoon and she took pictures of what appeared to be a group of egrets flying. The camera captures details that the naked eye cannot see by just observing. When she got home she realized it was birds of another feather. The camera caught something amazing. She had an “old” camera which is a pretty awesome camera itself. But she doesn’t want to go back to what she had. She loves the new view.

We all struggle with the same old equipment. It’s really not for us to use anymore, but truth be told, we revert back to it at times. I would love to never have poor visibility darken my way but sometimes I pick up old habits. Yet Christ loves me and He reminds me that it’s not from Him. And relief comes as I view the things of life from His truth rather than my eyesight. Glory!

Oh beloved, what you are seeing with your naked eye isn’t always reality. You may see anxiety and fear. But upon looking through the lens of God’s Word you will be reminded over and over that God didn’t call you to anxiety. He didn’t save you and set you apart so you could live in fear and dread. But each day you don’t go to Him for His view you will be tricked into thinking the thoughts of a person without Christ. God has given you a life with all the bells and whistles of the faith. Living free and full of blessings is normal. You don’t have to buy your way to a better view. It’s the gift of God. The manual explains everything you have at your fingertips. Access is yours. Within you there is a living proof of Christ’s redemption – peace, joy, faith, rest, comfort and more.

God loves you and He’s for you. Don’t settle for the old way of looking at things. Dig deep into God’s Word. Take Him at His Word. Revive yourself with His Word. And look closely at what all of the counsel of God says. You’ve been delivered, set free and are stationed to practice the greatest gifts of God for yourself. Rejoice that you can kiss the “old” good bye and live fully alive, experiencing it all as you walk in the Light of His Glorious Word.

2 Corinthians 1: 20 “For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for His glory.”

Acts 13: 32- 33 “And now we are here to bring you this Good News. The promise was made to our ancestors, and God has now fulfilled it for us, their descendants, by raising Jesus…”

Romans 6: 4 “Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.”
